JSK: Meet Our Instructors

Your head Sensei is Jim Jennings

Sensei Jim Jennings is a 7th degree (dan) black belt, former national champion and national team member who has studied karate for 40 years. Sensei Jennings was recently the first karate coach in Karate Canada to be certified by the Coaches Association of Canada as a comp-dev (competition development) level coach. 




Sensei  Trish Jennings

Sensei Trish Jennings is a 6th degree (dan) black belt, eight time provincial champion, N.K.A Canadian Women's black belt silver medalist, and former national team member, she has studied karate for 33 years .                  


Trish and Jim both studied health and physical education at the University of Toronto from 1977 to 1981. 


 Other Instructors:  

As part of the ongoing process in leadership development and instructor mentorship students at advanced levels are invited to assist with lower belt classes. For some at high school age they are able to log community hours as part of their graduation requirement. This has been very successful and beneficial to everyone involved.
